Treatment from abroad, with the shortest possible stay in Dubai
You do not have to move to Dubai to be treated here. Dr. Shami consults online first, arranges what can be done in your own country, and brings you to Dubai only for the part that has to happen in the clinic.
How it works
Start at home. Finish in Dubai.
A fertility cycle has a long preparation phase and a short clinical one. Dr. Shami separates the two so that most of the work happens where you live.
For an IVF cycle, for example, baseline tests, a consultation about your protocol and, where suitable, the first days of stimulation can be handled with your local doctor following her written instructions. You then fly to Dubai for monitoring, egg collection and embryo transfer. For a fertility checkup or a second opinion, you may not need to travel at all.
Every case is different, and Dr. Shami will tell you honestly which parts can be done remotely and which cannot.
- 1
An online consultation with Dr. Shami
A Zoom appointment with the doctor herself, in English or Arabic. She reviews your history and previous reports and gives you a written opinion.
- 2
Tests and preparation in your country
Blood tests, ultrasound scans and, where suitable, initial medication are arranged with your local doctor, following her protocol. Results are sent to her directly.
- 3
The clinical stage in Dubai
You travel for monitoring, egg collection, and embryo transfer, or the equivalent for your treatment. The dates are set around you, and the stay is kept as short as safely possible.
Why patients travel to her
What you get that is hard to find elsewhere
Direct contact with your doctor
You have Dr. Shami's own WhatsApp. Questions before, during and after treatment are answered by the person who knows your case, not a call centre.
Genetic testing under one roof
Fakih IVF runs an in-house genetics laboratory, First Genomix, so PGT-A, PGT-M, carrier screening and karyotyping do not need to be sent abroad.
Fewer days, lower cost
Doing the preparation at home cuts the time you spend away from work and family and the cost of your stay. It also means less travelling while under treatment.
Before the first consultation
What to send Dr. Shami
Send whatever you have, by WhatsApp or email. Missing items are not a problem; she will tell you what to add.
- A short summary of your story: how long you have been trying, previous pregnancies or losses, previous treatments and their outcome
- Recent hormone results (AMH, FSH, LH, estradiol, TSH, prolactin) and any ultrasound reports
- Your partner's most recent semen analysis, if there is one
- Reports from previous IUI or IVF cycles: protocol, number of eggs, embryos, and what happened
- Any genetic test results, surgical reports, or relevant medical history for either partner
Practical details
Dr. Shami consults at two clinics in Dubai: Fakih IVF on Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah, and First IVF in Dubai Healthcare City. Both are central and well served by hotels and short-stay apartments; her team can point you to nearby options once your dates are set.
Most nationalities can enter the UAE with a visa on arrival or a simple online visa. Check the current rules for your passport before booking. Payment is made directly to the clinic; fees are explained before treatment starts, never during.
You will be given a written schedule for the Dubai stage so that you know, day by day, what happens and when you can fly home.

Questions patients ask
Can I do the whole treatment without coming to Dubai?
A fertility checkup, a second opinion and the planning of your treatment can be done entirely online. Procedures such as egg collection, embryo transfer and insemination must be done in the clinic. Dr. Shami will tell you exactly which parts of your plan need you in Dubai.
How many days will I need to stay in Dubai for IVF?
It depends on your protocol and how you respond to medication. Because the preparation is done at home, the Dubai stage is usually the shortest part of the cycle. Dr. Shami gives you a written schedule with your expected dates before you book any travel.
Can my partner's part be done from abroad?
Semen analysis and initial tests can be done locally. For IVF or ICSI, a fresh sample on the day of egg collection is usually needed, so most couples travel together for the clinical stage. If that is difficult, discuss it with Dr. Shami early; there are options.
Which language will my consultation be in?
English or Arabic, whichever you prefer. Written summaries and instructions for your local doctor are provided in English.
Tell Dr. Shami where you are in your journey
A message on WhatsApp is enough to start. She replies personally, in English or Arabic.
