Who runs this website
This website presents the practice of Dr. Ghina Shami, consultant in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She consults at two Fakih IVF branches in Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 1, and Al Razi Building 64, Dubai Healthcare City. Clinical services, appointments, billing and medical records are the responsibility of the licensed clinic, not of this website.

What this site is, and is not
Everything here is general information about fertility care. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan and not a substitute for a consultation. Reading it does not make you a patient of Dr. Shami, and no doctor-patient relationship begins until you are seen and accepted at the clinic.
Whether any treatment is suitable, permitted or available in your case is decided at a consultation, on your own history and test results.
In an emergency
Do not use this website, the inquiry form or WhatsApp for anything urgent. Messages are not monitored around the clock. In a medical emergency in the UAE call 998, or go to the nearest emergency department.
Licensing and medical advertising
Dr. Shami is licensed to practise by the Dubai Health Authority. Under the health regulations of the Emirate of Dubai this website is medical advertising, and where licence or advertisement-approval references have been issued they are shown in the footer of every page.
Her title and specialty are stated as recorded on her professional licence. Nothing here should be read as a claim to be better, safer or more successful than any other doctor or clinic, and no outcome is promised.
Online consultations
An online consultation is advisory. Where you are already under another doctor's care, that doctor keeps clinical responsibility for your treatment, and care given outside the United Arab Emirates is governed by the rules of the country you are in. Any procedure or treatment in Dubai is carried out at the licensed clinic.
Links to other sites
Links to Instagram, Doctify, Google Maps, the clinic's own website and other services are provided for convenience. Those services are outside this website's control and have their own terms and privacy policies. A link is not an endorsement.

The text, photographs, illustrations and design of this site belong to Dr. Ghina Shami unless stated otherwise, and may not be copied or republished without permission. Names and logos of other organisations belong to those organisations.
Accuracy
The medical content is reviewed and dated, and the review date appears on each service, condition and guide page. Medicine changes, and pages may be edited without notice. If you believe something here is wrong or out of date, please write and say so.
Governing law
This website and this notice are governed by the federal law of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
